Science Centre
A home for innovative, technology-based companies
The Almería Science and Technology Park (PITA) Science Centre is 3,100 square metres and cost 4.5 million euros to build. The original construction project was fruit of an agreement between Almería University, which ceded the land for an initial period of 30 years, and the PITA organisation itself. The building work was based on the criteria of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. Its office space is versatile and can be adapted to suit the needs of any company. Essentially, it is a functioning example of what is being developed at the Technolopolis near the El Alquián area.
The PITA Science Centre serves as a business incubator and also offers innovative, technology-based companies access to 35 square-metre office modules as well as business consulting and added value services. The building also has meeting rooms and a projection room with comfortable seating for 70 people.
